what is women empowerment ?

Empowerment means accepting and allowing people who are on the outside of the decision-making process that creates power in individuals over their own lives, society, and in their communities. 

Women’s empowerment is the process of empowering women that includes the action of raising the status of women through education, raising awareness, literacy, and training. Women’s empowerment is all about equipping and allowing women to make life-determining decisions through different problems in society.

Australian Multicultural Association Incorporation presents THE DIVAS women empowerment program that is specifically designed to empower women from diverse cultural backgrounds within the community to come together and connect, appreciate, respect, build lifelong friendships, and supporting each other in this journey of transformation.

This thought from Ajay Pasupulate has changed many lives and the way they think. He has been supporting women in all aspects to lead a better life. The objective of this program is to enhance the quality of life, empower immigrant women of the South Asian community of Australia. Inspire them through various activities and workshops through industry experts that will transform them Physically, Mentally, and Emotionally.

Now Ajay has decided to run for local elections from Cambridge ward as a councilor candidate so that he can put more effort into the government in order to help Mission Divas, you might see people who just speak about the issues and Ajay isn’t one among them, He is a doer. check his vision for melton council

My agendas are based on survey from local residents and my work with council as a community leader.

1. There is gap between community and Local government to fill the gap i am to introduce my services 24×7 through community services app.
2. Council annual budgets should be spent wisely.
3. Advocate to cut the Council rates.
4. Improve public transport links between Caroline springs to Melton via Thornill park, Aintree and other estates.
5. Advocate to build medical centres in new estates such as Aitntree, Thornhill park, Fraiser rise and other suburbs.
6. Advocate for TAFE college in Melton.
7. Advocate to Increase hardwaste collection capacity.
8. Advocate to build pedestrian crossings such as zebra crossings and pedestrian signals.
9. Advocate to create local jobs through various ways such as business expos, events, invite businesses to establish with councils support. Currently Lendlease and Melton council are developing Cobblebank in partnership.
10. Advocate to work on Councils roadmap for 2036.
