The third day of Navarathri is observed to worship Goddess Chandraghanta, which means “one who has a half-moon shaped like a bell. Her third eye is always opened, and she always ready for war against demons. In this avatar, Goddess wears a crescent moon on her forehead with eight arms that pledges to destroy evils.
